After thinking about it for a little while now I have one final thought about switching from XP to Vista to Win 7.It seems to me that I remember when I first wanted to upgrade my old XP to a Vista unit I could not do so because I had an AMD processor. Please notice I did not say Dual Core or Core 2 Duo (as Intel calls their's) but a single core processor. Now if I remember Vista runs on a TWO CORE type system, which begs the question: If an Enterprise, be they small or large, were going to jump on a band wagon in this economy, then where are they going to get the MONEY to spend for all new systems with the Dual Processor Cores built for the OS of Vista and Win 7? I'm thinking somewhere in the documentation they told us that Win 7 needs a Dual Core Processor too. Since the only systems that come with one cores are now the minis that are "internet only" types, once again where is the money coming from for new PCs?
VMWares "cloud" is for upper level management buzzword purposes. It sounds cool and they will want us to deploy it. But really it is just a just a virtualized and efficient datacenter.
